Prop Shop Hobbies, Inc. was established by founder Thomas J. Brubaker, Sr. October 23, 1975. His goal was to provide modelers with all they needed for their radio control hobby. He was known as the “parts guy” throughout the Metro Detroit area. If you needed a part Tom had it or would order it up and keep an extra on hand “just in case”. As the R/C hobby grew so did Prop Shop Hobbies. Outgrowing its original store, Prop Shop moved up the street In November of 1985 to a larger store. Tom was the first in the area to completely computerize his large inventory. Prop Shop Hobbies is well known throughout the United States by reputation of having just about everything you need for radio control. Our large and diverse inventory is the envy of many.

Tom died in June of 2005. Since that time his son Matt has carried on the traditions Tom established for Prop Shop Hobbies.
