Have you ever wondered where to really get KBeauty products and not really know where to start?  No worries!!!  I am doing a comparison between 3 new KBeauty sites that I have tested out and I will also compare it to my long time love Memebox.  Let’s get started!!!

Kbeauty websites

~ Cosmetic Love ~

KBeauty

For Cosmetic love their website was pretty straight forward, it has the promos at the top, as well as sales and their top products on the homepage.  The thing I had a hard time adjusting to was the reviews.  As you can see there is a “reviews” button on the left side.  In order to see the reviews for a specific product you will have to click the button while on the product.  I kept forgetting that it’s even there.

Screen Shot 2016-07-19 at 11.13.13 PM

Their Account page is very simple nothing fancy they just have a list of your order history and your addresses.  The order detail page looks pretty simple as as well.  It has what you ordered and you can click the item that you ordered.

This site does not have an option to change your email or password so, not sure how you will set a new password if you wanted to do so or change the email.  Also at the bottom you can see how many points you racked up through your orders.  I will talk about more about the membership programs a little later on the post.

Something to also keep in mind is that they only accept paypal!

Screen Shot 2016-07-19 at 11.14.50 PM

~ Jolse ~

Screen Shot 2016-07-19 at 11.10.37 PM

Jolse’s website was a little bit more hectic than Cosmetic Love so it’s a little harder to focus on the things at hand.  They do have the sales on top and some recommended products.  Again the format is a little crowded so it’s a little harder to see what stuff you would really want.

Unlike Cosmetic Love though you do have an option to edit your username, email, and password.  It also is a little easier to get to the review of the product since it’s on the same page, you just have to click the tab to see it under the product itself.  Like Cosmetic Love, Jolse only accepts Paypal.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 11.31.07 AM

Like Cosmetic Love you have the ability to see your orders.  Some additional features Jolse’s website does have is that you can request to exchange the product or return it.  You also have the ability to filter through all the orders you have and track the package.  It also gives you the opportunity to click the product you purchased and review the product.

Jolse Order Detail

In the “My Shopping” area you can also see your credit (points) that you racked up through your purchases.

Jolse Reward Point Page

~ Beauty Net Korea ~

Beaty Net Korea

Oh Boy! Beauty Net Korea has done a facelift of their site since I last went and purchased from them.  It looks much cleaner than before, it use to look like Jolse’s website.  I am totally digging the new look over their old look.

You have your typical sales at the top as always.  As well as a more organized grid form of the best and newest products.  Unlike Jolse and Cosmetic Love, Beauty Net Korea allows both paypal and some credit cards.

Beauty Net Korea Account

Like Jolse, you are able to edit your username, password, and email address.  You are also able to view your orders and be able to request to exchange the product right there.  Depending on your shipping method you are probably able to click for tracking, but tracking isn’t provided for the free shipping.  You are also able to review the product that you have ordered and click the item to see more details.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 12.18.38 PM

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 12.19.39 PM

You are also able to see your credit (points) that you have earned just like Jolse’s site.Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 12.19.12 PM

~ Memebox ~

Screen Shot 2016-06-30 at 7.19.17 PM

Memebox by far is the cleanest website out of all the other three.  It is really simple and gets to the point.  It has all the sales up at the very top, and then featured products, new product, recommended towards the bottom.

The review’s for the products are really easy to spot and it also has a star system so even if you don’t read the reviews you can at least see how many stars they have.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 12.30.30 PM

Memebox also has their own order page where you are able to view the order, however you don’t get the ease like Jolse and Beauty Net Korea does where you can click the product right then and there and review it or have the ability to exchange it.  In order to exchange or return you will have to contact their support team.

Unlike the other’s though on the side bar you have the ability to select products you have already ordered before and add it to your cart immediately, especially your go to’s.  After viewing the order you do have the ability to click on the the product themselves.  In order to write a review for the product you will have to go straight to the product page and look at the reviews then submit your own there.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 12.30.54 PM

You are also able to view your points as well as membership levels really clearly.

My Thoughts: Kbeauty Websites

If you are talking about the overall look for websites I hands down will pick Memebox.  As a person who is into web development, this site is super clean and really really easy to use.  As far as functionality Memebox does lack a little bit with the button to instantly do a review for the product.  It also lacks the ability to request a return or exchange from a button and the ability to filter out the orders.  Are those absolutely essential for me though?  Not really, so in the website category Memebox wins it!

Products, Prices, Shipping Prices

~ Cosmetic Love ~

As mentioned before Cosmetic Love does have quite a selection in products.  They have about 69 brands to select from.  Some brands that are more well known such as Etude House, Banila Co, Skinfood, etc. are there.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.15.14 PM

So to determine the price I looked for a product that I know that would be on all four KBeauty sites.  I chose the Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur, which I have used before.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.11.47 PM

Now the product itself cost $13.03 so what about shipping?  It’s actually free for normal shipping!  The great thing about Cosmetic Love is that you can have free shipping for any purchase, big or small.  So in the end it ends up costing $13.03, there is no additional tax that is added to the product after this stage as well!

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.21.37 PM

Now the product page itself it does have english to show you how to use it, but it is rather basic.  Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.22.33 PM

It also has some great pictures of the before and after that you can see.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.23.17 PM

You can also read the reviews for the product.  Remember you have to click the blue button on the left side to be able to see it.

~ Jolse ~

Now Jolse has less of a selection of brands compared to Cosmetic Love.  Having about 67 brands or so. They also have the major brands as well mentioned above.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.24.38 PM

Again using the same product above i looked it up on Jolse.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.26.13 PM

Now the price here is $12.73, again what about shipping?  For Economy shipping again it is free!  Same with Cosmetic Love, tax is not added on afterwards.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.29.41 PM

The product page themself also have english, but it doesn’t have as much pretty pictures and korean descriptions as Cosmetic Love has.  It does have the before and after picture though which is quite important.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.31.21 PM

You do also have the ability to see reviews, but you don’t get an overall rating which is a bit weird.

~ Beauty Net Korea ~

Beauty Net Korea has one of the lesser brand selections than the above two KBeauty sites.  It has about 49 brands, but it does not include Banila Co on there like the other KBeauty sites have.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.34.08 PM

Again using the same product above.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.37.27 PM

You can see that it’s $14.29.  Again shipping?  For the economy shipping it is free!  Again no additional taxes are added on there.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.39.48 PM

The product page is way better on Beauty Net Korea.  It has a video commercial as well as english promo images of the product itself.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.39.55 PM

It’s great to see some images that have english on them so know what you are getting.  So it’s a little more descriptive than the other KBeauty sites.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.41.35 PM

The reviews though are a bit lacking.  They don’t really have a rating system and it doesn’t have an overall rating for the product itself.

~ Memebox ~

Memebox has the most variety of brands out of all 4 KBeauty sites.  They have about 98 brands and they do have more of the popular brands that were mentioned above.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.46.00 PM

Again using the product above.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.43.00 PM

As you can see it’s $15.90 for the product.  What about shipping?  As of right now standard shipping is free for all orders.  It didn’t use to be free, but I guess they changed that.  The additional tax is $1.19.  Bringing the total for the product to be $17.09.  WOW!

UPDATE: So it’s free 7-10 day shipping for any purchase, but if you want free 2-4 days you will have to spend over $35.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.51.15 PM

Their product page also has videos from youtubers, which is nice since it kind of gives you a first hand look at the product itself.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.51.25 PM

It also has english descriptions, but no fancy comparisons like the other KBeauty sites have.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 1.53.32 PM

The review section of the products page is probably the best part.  It’s really clear and it has an overall rating for the products themselves and it is visible throughout the whole time i am looking at the product.

My Thoughts: Products, Prices, Shipping

So out of all the Kbeauty sites the cheapest for the picked product is from Jolse.  Now keep in mind that it could just be for this product only.  I would suggest if you know that some of these KBeauty sites have the same product just take a look and compare all the prices.

I know for sure Memebox will be the most expensive out of all of them the majority of the time since it is mainly located here in the US.  But Jolse does, at least from what I know, ship from New Jersey.  So as far as prices go i would probably go with anything other than Memebox if you can find it elsewhere.

The selection of products on the other hand, if you are looking for variety i would go to Memebox.  If you are looking for more products in a brand i would probably look at the other KBeauty sites.  I have noticed if you go to SKINFOOD for Memebox and then SKINFOOD for the other KBeauty sites.  The amount of different products on the other KBeauty sites are way more than what is on Memebox.  So again I would probably just look at what you are looking for.  There isn’t a real clear winner there either.

As far as shipping since all of them now are free that’s a great sign!  Now the free for Jolse, Cosmetic Love, and Beauty Net Korea can range from 10 to 40 days so keep that in mind.  Whereas for Memebox they ship from the US so if you are in the US standard shipping is 7-10 days.  Also keep in mind Memebox ONLY ships to the US currently and doesn’t do international whereas the others do ship internationally.

Shipping Packaging and Time

The only one I can’t 100% compare to is Memebox since I decided I wanted to test out the 3 new KBeauty sites that I found.  So it gives Memebox a little disadvantage so I’m not going to 100% cover that as it will be a little different.  Keep that in mind.  Also all the products I ordered were about the same pricing so I wanted to see how worth it it was and they were almost around the same package sizes.  They were also all ordered on the same day at around the same time.

~ Cosmetic Love ~

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 2.04.18 PM

So for Cosmetic Love I ordered the Etude House 0.2 Therapy Air Mask x 15 pieces.  It ended up being $19.40 for those masks.  After I ordered it I got an email pretty much right away.  On July 1st.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 2.06.04 PM

I then got the shipping confirmation on July 2nd the next day.  The package itself arrived on July 14th.  I did not get an email confirmation that it has been delivered though.

_MG_2244

The package itself was just a red bag with no padding or nothing inside.  It was quite easy to open up the seal which is a little bit scary to see.

_MG_2268

Inside the package though was my 15 sheet masks and a sample.

_MG_2271

The sample that was provided was the TONYMOLY Panda’s Dream Magic Cream.  It is used to brighten skin and even skin tone and is used before makeup application.

_MG_2273

~ Jolse ~

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 2.20.26 PM

At Jolse I decided to order the April Skin Mummy Mud Mask at 5 pieces.  I have been wanting to order this mask for quite some time now, but was quite expensive on Memebox ($5 a piece), but since I saw it here and saw great reviews about it I decided to order this since the price and weight is about the same as the order from Cosmetic Love.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 2.24.19 PM

For this one I also got a email confirmation pretty much immediately, I ordered on July 1st.  I also got the shipping confirmation email on July 6th.  In the shipping email it did provide a tracking code for the package.  I was not notified as well through email that my order has been delivered.  The package itself was delivered on July 18th.

_MG_2245

_MG_2277

The package was a larger box that did come with a little bit of padding inside.  The shipping address also was noted that it was from New Jersey, which I thought was a little interesting.

_MG_2278

_MG_2279

Inside the package there were 5 samples that were provided.

_MG_2284

The samples are: The Tan Tan Lentil Bean Moisture Cream by TONYMOLY, Sunprise Dust Block SPF 50+ by Etude House, Baby Choux Base SPF 33 by Etude House, Fresh Cherry Tint by Etude House, and Charcoal Nose Cleansing Strip by LUKE.

~ Beauty Net Korea ~

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 3.08.41 PM

For Beauty Net Korea i went with the Holika Holika Pig-nose Clear Black Head 3 step kit x 10 Pieces.   Was also something that I have been wanting to try out for quite a while.  I saw that this was 10 pieces and that it was relatively cheaper than Memebox ($2.50 each).

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 3.16.30 PM

The order confirmation email did come in right after I ordered on July 1st.  The shipping confirmation email was sent to me on July 4th.  The package got delivered on July 15th with no email on it being delivered.

_MG_2246

_MG_2249

The package was a small box it had a little bit of bubble wrap inside and 4 samples in the box.

_MG_2253

_MG_2259

What was nice about Beauty Net Korea was that it had a little thank you note inside.

_MG_2261

_MG_2262

_MG_2263

The Samples were: Panda’s Dream Hand Cream by TONYMOLY, Multi Function Formula All In One Snail Repair Cream by MIZON, Prestige Jeju Snail Essence by TONYMOLY, and The Fresh Phytoncide Pore Gel Cream by TONYMOLY.

~ Memebox ~

Like I stated above I didn’t really order something on Memebox at the same time as the others as I have ordered from Memebox for quite a while now.  The only thing I can really compare it on is what I have already encountered.  The shipping box for Memebox is rather large compared to all the others.  It also has items wrapped in together in bubble wrap, which was nice and every now and then their smaller boxes will have custom print inside as well as pink confetti.  Unlike the others they also include an invoice sheet so that you can check to see if your items are all correct.

As of now Memebox had gotten my order wrong twice out of the seven orders I have had with them, which is kind of sad, but their customer service is quite top notch.  They sent me missing items really fast and if they got a wrong item they sent me, they will give me the items for free.  The other companies I’m not sure of since I haven’t really ordered a bulk order from them so I’ll have to update you on that when it comes to it.

Memebox rarely comes with a sample and if it is a sample it is one large sample, but that is quite rare.

They do tend to ship out things faster than normal.  Sometimes I order from them one day and they ship out the same day.  Like the others they only notify you of when the item is shipped and not when the item is delivered.  They also provide tracking.  During the time i was ordering they would have the items to me within the week so it was nice, but I think their shipping changed so it might be a longer time to get to you now.

My Thoughts: Shipping Packaging and time

Overall I thought all the companies were great with their notifications.  I was a bit disappointed in Cosmetic Love with their lack of attention to the packaging itself, but it was the one that arrived the earliest so I can’t really 100% complain.  I just really hope that if I did a larger order that it wouldn’t come in a bag like that.  The packaging for the others were fine and I really enjoyed seeing the samples inside the boxes.

Membership/point Program

~ Cosmetic Love ~

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 3.39.05 PMCosmetic Love’s points program is a bit interesting.  It is quite different than the others.  You earn points by spending obviously.  Each dollar you spend before shipping and taxes you get 10 points.  With those points though you then have to redeem coupons, instead of just using your points as “cash”.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 3.39.14 PM

In this case if 10 points is $1 then you have to spend $100 dollars in order to get $3 dollars off which means you get about 3% of what you spend.  As you go up higher and higher though you get more for your money.  The top most you can redeem is $125 dollars which you have to spend $2000 in order to get.  That means you get back about 6% of what you spent.  Now you don’t have to always buy stuff from there, you just have to refer your friend to get 300 points each time.  As far as I know the points don’t expire and they don’t have any member discounts or tiers that I know of.

~ Jolse ~

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 3.46.53 PM

Now for Jolse you get cash credit back from what you spent.  So I spent $18.68 for the mask and I got a credit of $0.60 back in credit. This means I get about 3% of what I spend back in credit to spend on the next order.  Here is the catch though.  In order to use the credit you HAVE to spend over $20, which is a major bummer.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 3.51.25 PM

Like Cosmetic Love the more you spend there the more you get back.  Jolse does this by membership tiers.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 3.55.24 PM

In Jolse’s case you will have to spend $1,000 total to get 5% which is the same as Cosmetic Love.  In order to get 7% though you will have to spend $3,000 total.  If you are a beauty buff it may be worth it, but still it’s a lot to spend.  Although it doesn’t indicate that this resets after a year like some rewards program, but don’t take my word for it.

~ Beauty Net Korea ~

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 3.59.24 PM

Beauty Net Korea pretty much does something similar to Jolse.  I spent $18.14 and got $0.9 credit back.  Which means I get 4-5% of what I spend back, which is a little more than Jolse and Cosmetic Love.  Beauty Net Korea does have a tiered system, but it’s only 1 tier and it’s 5% after you spend $1,000 with them total.  The points don’t seem to have an expiration date and doesn’t seem like the levels will reset after a year.

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 4.06.56 PM

Beauty Net Korea doesn’t have the restriction for how much you have to spend in order to use your credit. Instead you have to have over $10 in credit in order to spend it in general.

~ memebox ~

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 4.11.07 PM

For Memebox you get 1 Memepoint for every dollar you spend before taxes and shipping.  Unlike the other KBeauty sites the points do expire after a year from when you earned it.  Based off your points you can redeem $0.50 for each 10 Memepoints you get, so you get $0.50 for each 10 dollars you spend so that’s 5% back from what you spend.  You also have to be aware that you have to use the points in 10 point increment or you lose some of your points!

Screen Shot 2016-07-20 at 4.11.25 PM

Memebox’s tiered member system is a little more different than the others.  The more you spend doesn’t mean you get more points back, but it does give you perks.  I’m currently at the silver tier and I have been sent coupon codes every month specifically to use for extra percentages off.  Also note that you have to spend that amount EVERY year instead of what the others are at least at the moment.

My Thoughts: Membership/point program

Out of all the membership programs, I think Memebox’s is a little more beneficial as much as I have to spend it every year.  It gives the most amount of money back for the amount of money that you do have to spend.

Overview

A recap of everything.

  • Cosmetic Love is one of the cheapest out of all the KBeauty sites, but the packaging does lack how much they care about what you are getting.  You also can’t change your email or password at the moment on the site.
  • Jolse had one of the more crazy hectic websites and they were the one that arrived the latest, but they had quite a large selection of products.
  • Beauty Net Korea had cleaned up their website and their packaging is good as well as timing I received the package.  Their point system is kind of weird, you have to earn the credit of $10 dollars in order to even spend it which is a major bummer.
  • Memebox has the cleanest of the websites, as well as the most selection in brands, but they are the most expensive and they don’t provide as much products in each brand as the others.

Overall I really do favor Memebox over all the other KBeauty sites, but I will probably be doing more ordering from the other KBeauty sites since it is MUCH cheaper to do so.

You should definitely do more research on each product and see how you can get the most bang for your buck instead of just ordering right away.  If you know anymore KBeauty sites that I should be looking at let me know in the comments below!  I will be happy to test them out for you and review it as well.  Happy shopping!!!
